英语专业精读课中外教师课堂教学情况调查

摘    要:我校外语系二年级的精读课作为教改试点课程,大胆启用外籍教师。学期结束后,我们做了一项调查,结果显示外籍教师在教学法、提高学生的英语交际能力、增补新内容等多方面比中国教师更具优势,调查结果还显示学生也更喜欢外籍教师讲授精读课程。

Abstract:Intensive Reading(IR) has long been considered to be one of the most impotant courses for English majors at college level. A common question among IR teachers is" how can we make our course more practical, more valuable and more interesting?" We have made an experiment to ask the two foreign teaehers in our college to teach IR for one year. One year later,a questionnaire has been made for our students to compare them and Chinese teachers in terms of teaching methods, classroom management, teacher - student relations and other aspects. The results show that the two foreign teachers are very successful in IR teaching.
