On the Translation Techniques; Adopted in Professor Wang Hongyin's--A Systematic Study on Si Kongtu's Poetics in "The Realm of Poetry"

The Realm of Poetry by the famous Tang poet Si Kongtu is influential in the history of theory of ancient Chinese poetry, and the work defies comprehension and translation.Professor Wang Hongyin made a new translation of it into English, aiming for the translated poems to be countable as English literature. By making a comprehensive use of various translation techniques, professor Wang Hongyin has realized his aesthetic pursuit, and this paper is a close study on the techniques and strategies adopted in The Realm of Poetry, from the aspects of wording, syntax, poetic form, rhyme, and beauty in sense.
