Duan's notes quoted dialect materialsand pointed out its specific address so as to explain word's forms, phonetic symbols, meaning and their relationship.Du Yucai's dialect study paid attention to the comparison. Its materials and methods were for reference to Chinesehistory and modern Chinese dialect study. |
