从边缘到中心——五四运动前后中国翻译文学的地位

五四运动之前,中国的翻译活动虽有所发展,但翻译文学仍处于中国文化多元系统的边缘位置;五四运动之后,翻译文学跃居中心位置。文章试用佐哈尔的多元系统理论,结合中国当时的文化语境,分析中国翻译文学在五四运动前后地位的转变及其原因,兼论五四时期中国翻译文学的作用与影响。五四运动之后,中国文学在文学思想、语言发展和形式库方面需要翻译文学来为其提供新的思想和文学话语。

From the Margin to the Center-The Position of the Chinese Translated Literature around the May 4th Movement

Although translation activities in China had developed to a certain degree before the May 4^th Movement, translated literature was in a peripheral position within the polysystem of the Chinese culture. But it came to the center and took a primary position after the May 4^th Movement. Using EvanZohar＇s polysystem theory in combination with the Chinese cultural context, this paper tries to analyze the change of the position of the Chinese translated literature and its reason as well as the role and influence of the translated literature at that time. After the May 4^th Movement, the Chinese literature needs translated literature to provide new ideas and literary discourse for the development in literary ideas, language development and literary discourse.
