| 摘 要： | 目前大学下的“学院”译名存在很大分歧。通过分析学院的各种不同的英文对应词语以及比较国内外学院不同的设置,指出我们在翻译该词语时第一要遵从习惯,第二还要考虑到不同英文词的差别。建议国内由多种学科组建的“学院”应译成College为宜,而其它单一性专业学科组建的“学院”以及研究生院以School为宜。

| Abstract: | The various English renderings of "xueyuan" are frequently found today.By analyzing its corresponding English versions and comparing the differences home and abroad,the paper suggests that its Chinese translation should be in accordance with the habitual use and in consideration of English differences."College" can be applied to an institution comprising many disciplines and "school" to an institution of a single discipline and of graduate students. |
