北魏至唐代五个朝代推行的均田制，有着共同特点，又有许多不同之处，其原因是多种多样的。均田制的意义，使无田可种的劳动力和无人去种的土地实现了结合而充分发挥了作用。宋朝以后，均田制不再推行是失去了其存在的客观条件。

A Comparative Study of the Equal - Dividing- Fields System in Dynasties from North Wei

The equal -- dividing -- fields system during the five dynasties from North Wei to Sui and Tang had common features as well as differences due to various reasons. This system provided those laborers without fields with waste fields, which made the best use of the land. After the dynasty of Song, this system was not carried out any longer since there was no objective condition for its existence.
