Comment on and Analysis of the Establishment of the International Legal Status of the Non- governmental Organizations

Since the beginning of the 20th century, non - governmental organizations have taken an active status on the international stage. The international society is doing its best to affirm their legal status, and in the past 100 years or so, 13 international conventions and solutions have been drafted. Then, what are the similarities and differences among these documents？ What are the causes for their failure？ What can be taken from these documents as references in terms of international norms？ The present paper intends to focus on the contents and features of these documents to answer the above - listed questions. The paper consists of three parts. Part 1 describes briefly the background, the process about the discussion and approval of these documents. Part 2 analyzes the main contents and features of these documents. And Part 3 summarizes the pros and cons of each of them, and tries to put forward some suggestions on how to solve the problem under the current legal cireumstance.
