Study of Information Education in Institutions of Higher Learning

The paper has analyzed the great importance of information in this modern society. It points out that the current higher education in China has a defect with it, which is the want of information consciousness and information skills in the cultivation of talents. With the present situation introduced, the causes of the defect have been obtained. The paper proposes that the traditional educational ideas should be transformed and college information education should be strengthened, so to improve college student's information consciousness and information skills, which are extremely important at present. Questions in the information education have been stressed, too.
