工科院校专业英语新型教学模式探索

本文分析了现行工科院校几种专业英语教学模式的利弊,提出了一种新型的专业英语教学模式:专业英语 的词汇学习融入专业课中,而专业英语课则重点培养学生科技论文的听、说、读、写、译能力,该方法适合中国大多 数工科院校的现实条件,既不影响专业课的学习,又使学生的英语应用水平得到全面提高。

Exploration of New Patterns of EST Teaching for College Engineering

This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the current teaching pattern of specialized English. It puts forward a new pattern that it focuses on the training of English listening, reading, speaking and translating in the specialized English courses while putting learning of specialized terminologies into specialized courses. This pattern is suitable for the practical circumstances in most Chinese colleges. It can greatly improve the students' capabilities of communication and obtaining information in English while not affecting the study of specialized courses.
