在清代学术史上,翁方纲乃持汉、宋之平者。其论诗核心概念“肌理”之理,亦包含汉、宋两种学术背景。仅关注其表面上的汉学家考订之“理”的成分,而忽略其背后隐藏着的宋学家的义理之理,是对翁方纲诗学思想的最大误解。

Texture Theory against the Background of Study of Confucian Classics

In the academie history of Qing Dynasty, Weng Fang-gang was such a scholar who could keep the balance between the Han school of classical philology and the Song school of classical philolo-gy. Texture theory, the key idea of Weng's poetics, had two origins. Therefore, we will greatly misun-derstand Wang's poetics if we just pay attention to the component of textual research from the Han school of classical philology, but neglect the component of the principle as order.
