论政府对农民工的权益维护

伴随着中国的改革开放，出现了一个新兴的社会群体——农民工。长久以来，农民工在维生与维权之间面临着艰难的抉择，由于他们公认的弱势地位，导致农民工往往为了维生而放弃维权。然而，哪怕是起码的维生也很难得以保障，这也成为制约社会进步、影响社会稳定的一个重要因素。政府当前在农民工权益维护上的几个缺失表现在：相关法律法规的缺失、政府利益取向的偏离、政府介入的非程序性和非合理性。提出对政府未来在农民工权益维护方面的几点思考。

On Government and Safeguard of Rights and Interests of Peasant Workers

Following the reform and opening-up policy of China, one new developing social group--Peasant worker--ap- pears. For a long time, peasant workers have faced the difficult choice between supporting their family and safeguarding the rights. Their generally acknowledged weak tendency status often causes peasant workers to give up safeguarding the rights in order to support their family. However, even minimum supporting of the family is difficult to ensure, which restricts social progress and becomes an important factor of influencing the social stability. In the new century, as our country quickens the steps of building the well-off society in an all-round way, the maintenance of peasant workers＇ rights and interests becomes a great and urgent problem that the government faces. The lack of rights and interests of peasant workers at present from government, such as relevant disappearance of laws and regulations, bias of orientation of inter- ests of government, irrationality and irregularity of government involved are discussed. Some ideas of the government in the safeguard of peasant workers rights and interests in the future are proposed.
