在知识经济时代,图书资料管理者在吸纳、处理发送信息的活动中要发挥其对读者的导向功能,一要从信息需求者的角度发挥导向作用;二要通过加工二次文献加强导向作用;三要根据不同层次、不同类型的读者提供不同的信息资料发挥导向作用;四要通过利用现代媒体发挥导向作用;五要以管理者良好的素质对读者发挥导向作用。

On the Guiding Role of the Librarians

In the era of knowledge-driven economy, the librarians must play their guiding roles for the readers in the activities of sending, receiving and handling the information. The guiding roles are as following: first, the librarians must play the guiding roles from the information demanders' perspective; second, the librarians must reinforce the guiding roles by processing secondary sources; third, the librarians must play guiding roles by providing different information to the different readers; fourth, the librarians must play guiding roles through modern media; finally, the librarians must play guiding roles with their specialized knowledge.
