The Sad Meloy of an Hero--On the XIN Qi-ji's Patriotic Ci

XIN Qi-ji was very distinguished for his patriotic Ci in the literary circles during the period of South-Song Dynasty.Living in the turbulent era in which his motherland was on the verge of becoming extinct,he saw the miserable circumstances of his homeland being occupied with his own eyes,and worried about and deeply regretted for those suffering people in enemy-occupied area.He cherished the patriotic feeling and the aspirations of recovering lost territory,and owned outstanding military capability and literary talents,but the muddleheaded government officials who were in power at that time did not put him in an important position,therefore he was often in the morale of grief and indignation and became a victim of lifelong remorse.Finding no way to dedicate his life to the cause of the country,he could only sing in the Ci world,sing his own the solemn and stirring sound and patriotic emotion,which was permeated with his impassioned,grieved and depressed heroic spirit.
