从“一个”到“多元一体”——关于中国民族理论发展的史学史考察

抗日战争初期，顾颉刚在昆明《益世报》创办《边疆周刊》，并发表文章《中华民族是一个》，从而引起众多学者的争论。因为战争和政治的原因，这个讨论没有充分展开，但为以后民族理论的发展打下了一定的基础。新中国成立后，民族学者、历史学者在马克思主义民族理论的指导下，运用现代人类学、民族学理论，结合中国的历史和现实，在民族理论、历史理论方面提出了富有创新意义的见解，尤其是费孝通“中华民族多元一体”的民族理论和白寿彝“多种形式的多民族统一”的历史理论，高屋建瓴地揭示和概括了中华民族的特点及其形成、发展的规律，反映了中国民族理论的日趋成熟。

From "the Chinese Nation Is One" to "the Configuration of Plurality in an Organic Whole": Evolution of the Theory on the Chinese Nation

During the earlier stage of the War of Resistance Against Japan , Gu Jiegang set up Frontier Weekly attached to the newspaper YiShiBao in Kunming and published the Chinese Nation Is One, which led to many debates. Owning to the war-time and political factors, that discussion did not last for a long time. However, it laid a base for the future research. After foundation of the New China, ethnologists and historians using Marxism national points and modern anthropology to study the Chinese Nation, history and its contemporary society have raised many creative standpoints. Among which the configuration of plurality in an organic whole of the Chinese Nation by Fei Xiao-tong and the manifold unification of plural nations by Bai Shou-yi are most representative. Being signs of the mature theory on the Chinese Nation, they both explored the features of the Chinese Nation and the regular patterns of its forming and developing.
