| Abstract: | While there may be many causes for English-Chinese and Chinese-English mistranslation,the typical mistakes made by most Chinese learners of English are most likely to be attributed to negative transfer of the mother tongue and Chinese mode of thinking.This paper tries to probe into the genetic principle of the above-mentioned phenomenon of mistranslation. |
