The paper aims at elaborating upon the disyllabic words of Ningbo dialect. Quite a few words with their own system like that representive one of striking features in Ningbo dialect. From the point of pronunciation,such words are generally produced by a method,at times a little different,which indicates the pronunciation characterized by taking two other characters,one with the same initial and the other with the same final as the character in question. And in view of language performance the disyllabic words are ones frequently used in daily life and characterized by closeness,looseness and expansion.
