城乡差异与大学生消费——独生子女与非独生子女的比较

尽管已有不少研究对独生和非独生子女大学生进行研究,但是其往往过分关注于独生子女与非独生子女之间的差异,却对独生子女和非独生子女群体内部的差异缺乏敏感。遗憾的是,这使得已有的很多研究获得的结论并不那么可靠。本文以大学生的平均月消费水平为例,使用南京大学社会学系"大学生发展状况调查(2008年)"数据的研究表明,城市来源和农村来源的大学生在独生子女与非独生子女的月消费差异上的表现是不同的。城市来源的独生子女大学生和非独生子女大学生之间没有差异;但是农村来源的独生子女大学生和非独生子女大学生之间存在显著差异,独生子女大学生占据明显的优势。

Urban-Rural Gap and Undergraduates' Consumption: Comparison between the Only-Child Students and the Non-Only-Child Students

Though many studies engaged in the comparison between the only-child undergraduates and the non-only-child ones, most of them neglected the within-group difference of the only-child group and that of non-only-child group. This study examines the average monthly consumption of undergraduates based on the data from ＂A Survey of Development of Undergraduates （2008）＂ and finds there are dramatic interual differences within the only-child group and the non-only- child group from the urban and these from the rural. That is to say the urban-rural gap in many aspects of the undergraduates is much bigger than the differences between the two groups. There is no clear differences between the consumption of the only-child undergraduates and that of the non-only-child ones from the urban, while there are dramatic differences between the consumption of the only-child undergraduates and that of the non-only-child ones from the rural, and the only-child undergraduates from the rural have much higher monthly consumption than the non-only-child ones from the rural.
