| Abstract: | This paper presents a systematic overview on Western Europe's regime Transformation of cultural heritage management since 1980s. It contains: the background of he transformation, its fundamental concepts and social basis, the pattern of privatization, major country cases, and assessment of the transformation. The paper also provides a discussion of the heuristic effects of Western Europe's transformation on China. It contains what China can learn from the experiences of Western Europe's transformation and what are China's special needs for reforming cultural heritage management and should be an attention. |
