诫子书是从至亲至爱的血缘亲情出发来客观真实地反映魏晋士人心声的。它对魏晋士人心态的反映,表现在志存高远、贵生保身、戒酒节酒等三个方面,体现出了当时士人们对生命的尊重珍爱,和对家族长远利益的由衷关怀。魏晋士人这种有悖于生活方式的内心世界,表明尽管魏晋时期佛道昌盛、玄风竞煽,儒学的统治地位发生了动摇,但其社会主导性地位并未完全丧失。

Some learned men in the Wei-Jin period made written admonishment for their young that can reflect their inner world faithfully, since it is that kind of formal documents that are meant to be bequeathed to one’s closest younger relatives. The admonishment shows the men’ true inner world in three aspects: high ideals, a love for life, and a alert against alcohol.
