明代宗臣的循吏思想及其实践简

宗臣受《史记》、《汉书》影响，有浓厚的循吏思想。他所称颂的循吏具有四个特点；心忧社稷．以民为本；赈灾济民，抑制豪强；重儒宣教，以德化民；所去见思，死见奉祀。他在为官期间远仰汉代循吏的风采，近绍明代清官的轨迹，刚正清廉，品行高洁，将儒家的仁爱兼济思想和宣教化民的理念相结合，在短暂的仕宦经历中谱写了一曲精彩乐章。

The Ming Dynasty Zong Chen＇s Thought on Upright Officials and His Practice

Zong Chen, influenced by the Records of Grand Historian and the Book of Former Han, had a strong mind that officials should be honest and upright. The honest and upright officials he praised had four characteristics, caring about the country and serving the people; relieving the people in disaster and restraining the bullies; advocating Confucianism and education and affecting the people with virtue; if left, the official was remembered, and if died, he was enshrined. During his years in office, he admired the famous honest and upright officials in Han Dynasty and followed the noble officials in Ming Dynasty. Being upright and noble, he practised the benevolence thought in Confucianism and educated the people with kindheartedness. Although his official term was short, Zong Chen＇s practice was outstanding.
