缅寺与傣族男性的传统社会化

缅寺是西双版纳村社普遍存在的南传上座部佛教的基层佛寺,它在傣族男性传统社会化过程中发挥着十分重要的作用。傣族男性成员在缅寺生活期间,不仅接受了大量的宗教文化熏陶,而且受到广泛的世俗文化教育。某种程度上甚至可以说,没有缅寺就没有傣族男性的传统社会化,也就没有傣族在心理和行为方面表现出的各种优良品质。

Burmese temples are the southern ?rya-sthaviranik?ya temples popular in the villages in Xishangbanna and play an important role in the traditional socialization of the Dai males.Living in the Burmese temples,the Dai males can receive not only religious education but also secular education.In a certain sense,without Burmese temples,the Dai males would not receive their traditional socialization and would not have their good qualities in psychology and behavior.
