‘＇Bingumondonouta＇ by Yamanoue Okura is the only poem from Manyoushu which characterizes the miserable life ofpoor people and has very profound sociality.In order to explain the consideration of ‘Bingnmondonouta＇ , we analyze the profound meaning of this poem from Manyoushu according to the extraordinary life of Yamanoue Okura. Also, we compare this poem with some literary compositions of ancient China, and find out some traditional consideration. In this poem, the author uses his unpretending style of writing,and confides the tribulation from hunger and cold of many.people. This poem factually characterizes standard of living at that time,and its profound ideology holds a very important position in Japanese poetry history.
