| Abstract: | This paper, through the comparison between Chinese painting and western painting, expounds the process of ingesting, forming and externalizing of the images in traditional Chinese painting. It also illustrates that the forms of traditional painting are unlike the concrete or abstract images in western painting, but of the distinctive traditional Chinese concept of imagism. |
