| 摘 要： | 模糊限制语和模糊限制是一种常见的语言现象,普遍地存在于英、汉、日语中。在交际中,使用模糊限制语进行模糊限制看似违反了合作原则的某些准则,但实际上是更好地遵守了合作原则和礼貌原则。尽管英、汉、日语模糊限制语的表现形式有所不同,分别反映出英、汉、日语属于不同语言类型的某些特点,即英语为溶合语、汉语为孤立语、日语为黏着语,但其在各自的语境中具有大体一致的语用功能：提供恰到好处的信息,避免负全责,使话语礼貌客气,保全面子。

| Abstract: | Hedges and hedging are common linguistic devices in English,Chinese and Japanese.It is assumed that the use of hedges is apparently a violation of the co-operative principles but actually a fulfillment of the co-operative and politeness principles.The differences are related to the language types they belong to. |
