Donggan's Ethnic Education and the Ethnic Group Construction

The Donggan is an ethnic minority whose history and cultural traditions that are closely related to that of the Hui’s in inland China could be a very good example for us to understand the economic development and complicated ethnic relations in Central Asian countries. In the procession of the historical development, they developed unique ethnic educational system to sustain their traditional culture and ethnic borders, which, however, is facing unfavorable situations. They look forward to obtaining support from China’s government, intellectuals and the mass.
