数字化能否促进制造业高质量发展——基于中国省际面板数据的经验证据

推动制造业高质量发展是中国由“制造大国”转变为“制造强国”的重要着力点。文章分析了数字化带动制造业高质量发展的动力机制,以2015 2019年全国省际面板数据为样本,运用熵值法测度了数字化与制造业的高质量发展水平,实证检验了数字化对制造业高质量发展的影响;并按照区域分组,实证检验了数字化在不同区域对制造业高质量发展的异质性影响。结果显示:数字化能显著带动制造业高质量发展,数字化对制造业高质量发展影响具有区域异质性,且在东部地区,带动效应更加明显,经过替换核心解释变量的测度方式进行稳健性检验后,检验结果依然显著。

Can Digitalization Promote the High-Quality Development of Manufacturing: Empirical Evidence from Chinese Provincial Panel Data

Promoting the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry is an important focus for China to transform from a "major manufacturer" to a "manufacturing power". This paper analyzes the dynamic mechanism that digitization drives the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry. Using the national inter-provincial panel data from 2015 to 2019 as a sample, the entropy method is used to measure the high-quality development level of digitization and manufacturing, and the effect of digitization on the manufacturing industry is empirically tested. According to the regional grouping, we empirically tested the heterogeneous impact of digitalization on the high-quality development of manufacturing industry in different regions. The results show that digitization can significantly promote the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry, and the impact of digitization has regional heterogeneity, and its driving effect is more obvious in the eastern region. After the robustness test by replacing the core explanatory variable, the test results are still significant.
