太平天国与吏治

晚清道光、成丰年间吏治的腐败,是太平天国农民起义兴起和发展的一个重要原因.然而太平军占领南京后,靠反清朝腐败吏治起家的太平天国领袖们,却忽视了自身对吏治的整饬.从而严重削弱了太平天国自身的力量.这是太平天国最终失败的根本因素之一.与太平天国领袖们不重视吏治整饬的态度相反,清统治者特别是湘军代表人物在太平天国起义爆发后,痛定思痛,在整饬吏治上狠下功夫,取得了相当成效,从而奠定了战胜太平军的政治基础.1864年太平天国的失败,最终说明重视整饬吏治与否的重要性.

The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and Governance of Officials

This thesis deems that the corruptio n of the governance of officials during the reigns of Dao Guang ,Xian Feng i n the late Qing Dynasty led to the Taipi ng Uprising .But after the Taiping Ar my captured Nanjng,the Taiping lead ers who had fought resolutely against the corruption o f the governance of officials of the Qing Dynasty ,ignored rectifying the governance of officials themselves.So its power was weakened.It was one of the basic reasons that the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom failed at last.On the contrary,The Qing governors,especially the leaders of the Hunan Army dr ew a lesson and rectified the governance of officials se-riously.So they achieved great succ ess which laid a political foundatio n of defeating the Taiping Heavenly K ingdom.The de-struction of the Taiping Heavenly Ki ngdom fully proved the importance of fighting the corruption of the governance of officials.
