Contradiction on the relationship between environment protection and economy development in the Lijiang River reserve and its solution

The Lijiang River reserve has the responsibility of protecting ecological environment of the river, but strict protection poli- cy on ecological environment takes restriction on the development of resource and industries in this reserve. As a result, the economy development of this reserve lags behind to some extent and the relationship between environment protection and economy development is not harmonious. Ecological compensation, which balances this relationship by economic stimulus, is a widely recognized effective method for balancing the benefit structure of the region. Therefore, the author suggests that trinity ecological compensation consisted of the government, the market and the society should be tried to set up in the Lijiang River reserve. What is more, effective ecologi- cal compensation should be used to promote the balance on the relationship between environment protection and economy develop- ment and then harmonious development in this region would be brought about.
