My Half-Century Academic Exploration

Over the past 50 years,I have academically accumulated some experience and understandings,which,originating from some obscure ideas,have grown clear step by step into conscious academic pursuits. First,I choose difficult research projects; second,I always attach importance to the preparation of materials; third,I try to be innovative in my research. In the study of writers,I endeavor to combine "historical criticism" with "aesthetic criticism." Solving difficulties,focusing on facts,pursuing innovation,and seeking beauty have been the principles guiding my academic research for half a century.
