建构主义与学生的主体地位

现代大学外语教学改革的一个重要核心问题就是确立和加强学生在学习过程中的主体地位,发挥其积极性和主动性。它是改变我国当前大学英语教学不利局面的根本,也是实现现代教育的一项重要目标———自主学习(autonomous learning)的前提条件和重要组成部分。本文指出确立学生在学习中的主体地位的重要理论支持为建构主义(Constructivism);对它的理论来源以及对学习过程的重要启示作了介绍和阐述;并且对该理论指导下的新型教学模式提出了基本要求,以实现学生的主体地位,最终提高其综合素质、应用能力和自主学习能力。

Constructivism and Students' Status as the Subject

The focus of modern reform of college English teaching is to establish and enforce the status of students as the subject,which is the base to change the present embarrassing situation of the college English teaching in our country.In this paper it illustrates that the very important theoretical support to recognize students' status as the subject is Constructivism.Its origin,constitution and implication to teaching and learning are discussed and the basic conditions for the new teaching mode directed by Constructivism are also put forward.
