鸦片战争初期国人对英国的认知——以冯登府《英吉利考》为中心的考察

浙江学人冯登府的《英吉利考》，是建立在1840年鄞县知县审问英国军官安突德口供基础上写成的。与魏源《英吉利小记》相比各有特色。它是清朝地方官员审问英国俘虏而成的英国国情报告，体现了鸦片战争初期地方官员对英国的关切点。

Chinas Understanding of Britain in Early Opium War: an Investigation Centered on Feng Dengfus English Examination

The English Examination written by Feng Dengfu, a scholar from Zhejiang province, was based on the confession of Anstruther, a British military attentor, who was questioned by the magistrate of Yin county in 1840. By comparing with Wei Yuan’s “A Brief Account of English”, this paper analyzes the basic content of “English Examination” and affirms its unique value. It is based on British confessions and presents a more authentic Britain to Chinese.
