摘    要:美国亚裔女性文学中,食物成为族裔书写或身份叙事的重要手段。通过印裔美国作家裘帕·拉希莉的《同名人》中的印度小吃、牛排等食物符号,解析后殖民女性文学中的身份叙事,探究多元文化背景下印裔移民的文化身份认同,认为:第一代移民恪守印度饮食习惯及禁忌而保留了其“印度性”,而第二代移民的饮食习惯则更为多元,尤其是主人公果戈里排斥自身“印度性”而完全拥抱“美国性”导致其身份认同危机,最终通过印度饮食习惯及禁忌愈发了解母国文化,并建构其“混杂性”身份认同。

Abstract:Food narration is one of the most important themes in Asian American female writing. The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri is without exception. In discussing the food like Indian snacks, steak, rice etc. In the novel, this article reveals its relations with the cultural identity in postcolonial female literature in multicultural background. For the first-generation Indian immigrants, they hold their traditional eating habits and taboos to keep their “Indianess”. While for the second-generation, their eating habits are different from their parents particularly for Gogol. When he rejects the Indian ways of living including eating habits, he suffers from an identity crisis. Then, it becomes different when he gradually accepts those traditional ways of living, i.e., the rites, eating habits and food taboos, etc., he acknowledges his identity of “hybridity”.
