文化与文学：中西叙事思想比较研究管窥

从某种意义上说，中西叙事思想是中西文化在叙事领域的反映，要了解中西叙事思想，需先了解中西文化。中西文化的起源不同，个体观与集体观也不一致。从特点看，中国文化是伦理型、综合型、感悟型的，西方文化则是科学型、分析型、理智型的。把握中西文化的差异，有利于增进对中西叙事思想的理解。中国小说喜欢善恶叙事、较少形而上的思考，西方小说重视挖掘社会、人性方面的问题，形而上的色彩较浓；西方悲剧侧重严肃、崇高，中国悲剧讲究伦理、悲伤；西方悲剧重视体裁的纯正，中国悲剧的文体意识较弱；等等。这些中西叙事观念的差异，都需要从文化入手，才能有比较透彻的把握。

In a sense, Chinese and Western narrative thought is the reflection of Chinese and Western culture in the narrative field. To understand Chinese and Western narrative thoughts, we must first understand Chinese and Western cultures. The origin of Chinese and Western cultures is different, so is the view of individual and collective. From the point of view of characteristics, Chinese culture is ethic-oriented, comprehensive and perceptive; Western culture is scientific, analytical and intellectual. Grasping these differences between Chinese culture and western culture is helpful to enhance our understanding of Chinese and western narrative thoughts. Chinese novels like the narration of good and evil and less metaphysical thinking, while western novels pay attention to exploring the problems of society and human nature; Western Tragedies focus on seriousness and sublimity, while Chinese tragedies pay attention to ethics and sadness; Western Tragedies attach importance to the purity of genre, while Chinese tragedies have weak stylistic awareness; and so on. These differences between Chinese and Western narrative concepts need to start with culture in order to have a more thorough grasp.
