土木工程专业双语教学中的问题与对策

摘    要:在我国改革开放大潮中和高等教育高速发展的背景下,“双语教学”应运而生,如火如茶。然而,一些教育者和教育管理人员对“双语教学”的科学定义理解上有偏差。另外,在师资建设、科目的确定、教材的选用、语言环境的改善等方面,高校都面临一系列的挑战。近年来,随着我国交通运输事业的飞速发展,海外工程项目不断增多。土木工程工程技术人员需要精通当地的官方语言,才能保证工程施工的顺利进行。因此,如何在土木工程专业课中开展双语教学成为高校土木工程学科面临的一个崭新课题。

Abstract:“Bilingual education” is a hot topic in China against the background of economic boom and rapid development of higher education. However, there are misconceptions among educators and educational administrators concerning what bilingual education really is and how it should be conducted. In addition, problems and challenges exist in institutions of higher learning, in terms of teacher qualification, choice of subjects, use of textbooks, language environment, etc. In recent years, with the rapid development of transportation in our country, overseas civil engineering projects are on the increase. To ensure smooth communication, Chinese engineers and tecnicians should be fluent in the official language of the country where civil engineering projects are based. So how to implement bilingual education in civil engineering is a new issue for the teachers and administrators in colleges of civil engineering.
