非洲商人迁移广州的行为特征分析

全球化背景下,非洲的巨大进口需求和中国商品的出口需求得到完美互补,从而极大地促进了中非贸易,也吸引了众多的非洲商人到广州采购日用品,这其中不仅有非洲国际商人,也有“淘金者”.文章研究表明,无论非洲国际商人,还是“淘金者”,他们都是经过利益比较后才到广州的,他们迁移广州的行为是理性选择的结果.网络关系在他们的迁移过程中起着重要作用,但强弱关系扮演的角色不同,在迁移的决定过程中信息等弱关系起着重要的作用,而在迁移后的适应过程中,强关系则扮演着至关重要的作用,此外,关系网络的范围越大也越有利于他们适应广州社会

Behavioral Characteristics of the African Traders’ Migration to Guangzhou,China

Under the globalization,China’s export demand satisfies the great demand of Africa’s import,which greatly prompts the Sino-African trade,and attracts a large number of African traders to purchase daily necessities in Guangzhou.The traders not only include the international African merchants but also the "gold diggers".This paper shows that the behaviors of international African merchants shifting their main business to Guangzhou and the "gold diggers" rushing to Guangzhou for business are rational after the comparison of business interests.Their network relationships play an important role in the migration process;however,the roles of the relation strength are different.Specifically,the weak ties such as information play the main role in the decision of migration,while the strong ties play the main role in the adaptation process.Moreover,the greater the scope of the network,the more favorable their adaptation to the Guangzhou community.
