Tracing back the starting point of modern Chinese literature, scholars generally believe that it started from May Fourth Literary Revolution, but in recent years scholars at home and abroad, based on various researches, put forward their different opinions. The Reformation Movement of 1898 having distinctive significance at the turn of the century, from the end of 19th century to the 1920s, played a crucial role in literature revolution. Exploring modern factors of the transformation in this period, it isn＇ t hard to find there is some evidence available to move the starting point of modern literature to the Reformation Movement of 1898, which can further expand the scope of studying modern literature.
