| Abstract: | In the modem introduction of Chinese leaming to the West, Chen Jitong was the first man to introduce Chinese culture to the Westem society and his ideas were very influential there.In the cultural exchanges between China and the West, Chen Jitong made his remarkable achierements.However, he bas been a long-neglected figure.Chen Jitong studies are therefore necessary and a just historical position should be restored to him. |
