| 摘 要： | 苏格拉底“美是什么”追问本体,要求一个本质定义作为回答,是西方式的美学话语模式;希庇阿斯“什么是美的”以指示定义的方式指出美的形态,是中国式的美学话语模式。前者表现为封闭的终极模式,后者表现为开放的生成模式。苏格拉底和希庇阿斯的一场问答预示了西方美学和中国美学对话的不可能性与可能性。

| Abstract: | Socrates asked about the noumenon of beauty that should be answered with an essential definition while Hippias gave him an answer of showing definition that show the pattern of beauty.The former took the model of western Aesthetics discourse that was a closed final model while the latter took the model of Chinese Aesthetics discourse that was an opening generative model.The quarrel foreboded the impossibility and the possibility of the dialogue between western Aesthetics and Chinese Aesthetics. |
