论英汉翻译的“异化”、“归化”运用原则

在我国翻译界,从二十世纪三十年代至今,有关“归化”“异化”的争论由来已久,从未停止过。纵观各家译论,各有其道。在翻译实践中,“归化”、“异化”各有长短,根据语境、文化和作品的需要两种翻译方法应交叉使用。求真原则、灵活原则、接受原则、美观原则和优化原则是衡量“归化”和“异化”运用是否得当的合理原则和有效的翻译策略,也是我们处理翻译的尺度和标准。

ON APPLIED PRINCIPLES OF DOMESTICATING AND FOREIGNIZING METHOD IN ENGLISH-CHINESE TRANSLATION

For a long time, disputes over domesticating method and foreignizing method have been going on since the thirties last century without stopping in our translation circle. Seeing the famous translators vertically I think all of their theory reasonable. In translation practice, both of the two translating methods have long points and short points and should be used alternately according to the context, culture as well as the works itself, says this article. Finally it brings up five principles (such as for truth, being flexible, for acceptance, for beauty and for optimization) on domesticating method and foreignizing method and it is the five principles that are used by us to judge whether our translation method is suitable our strategy effective or not.. They are also our ruler and standard to deal with our translation.
