| 摘 要： | 正确理解并适当运用大量的英语成语是英语学习的难点之一.<牛津当代英语成语词典>作为一部优秀的、不可多得的英语成语词典,体现了词典编纂者们旨在鼓励学习者正确、流畅、地道地使用语言的原则.本文针对该词典第1卷的特色加以评述,并阐明该词典对英语教学的指导作用.

| Abstract: | Familiarity with a wide range of idiomatic expressions and the ability to use them appropriately in context are among the difficult points in English Learning.Oxford Dictionary of Current Idiomatic English,as a rare specimen of good dictionaries,is designed to reflect the compilers'intention to encourage the users for a perfect mastery of the language.Focusing on the first volume of the dictionary,the paper comments on its main features and illustrates its practical use in English Language teaching. |
