| Abstract: | Multiple choice is one of the commonly-used items in language tests.Based on the theories of English language tests,the present article analyzes both the advantages and disadvantages of multiple choice items.It explores several important principles for designing multiple choice items with detailed illustrations in the hope to provide some help for teachers during their test designing process. |
