试论语言污染的性质与范围

语言污染很早就备受政府和学者的关注，至今却仍未得到有效的治理。究其原因当然是多方面的，但从学理上说，对语言污染的性质与范围缺乏准确的定位也是一个重要的原因。定位的不明确，使得其他一些语言问题、语言现象也被当作语言污染处理，语言污染所指的范围扩大化；而范围的过分扩大会产生语言污染泛滥的假象，很有可能会造成人们对语言恐惧忌惮或麻木不仁，最终加剧语言污染。本文对语言污染的性质和范围作一个较为明确的定位，以期引起社会对语言污染问题的重新认识，集中力量共同治理语言污染，改善语言环境。

On Nature and Scope of Language Pollution

Language pollution has long since attracted the close attention from the government and schol- ars, but it has not been effectively controlled. There are many reasons for this but, academically, the lack of a clear and precise definition of the nature and scope of language pollution is an important one. Such obscurity of definition can make other problems and phenomena of language the scapegoats for language pollution, there- by leading to overused reference of the term, and in turn to the false impression that language pollution is over- whelming; this will result either in the dread of or the indifference to language, both of which will worsen the pollution. This paper is an effort to define the exact nature and scope of language pollution, in expectation of evoking re-understanding of the problem and making concerted efforts to solve it, so as to improve the environ- ment of language use.
