On Sustainable Development of Library in Community

Libraries in communities, as an important part of cultural construction in communities, fulfill such functions as disseminating human culture, practice social education, passing on documents and information, developing intellectual resources and facilitating recreational activities in communities. It is an effective way to spread cultural and scientific knowledge among people and improve qualities of all citizens. It is suggested that only when advantages of libraries in communities can be brought into full play and problems of libraries in communities are dealt with seriously, can sustainable development of libraries in communities be achieved.
