| Abstract: | The establishment of Bretton-Woods System exerted great influence on and played a crucial role in the development of world politics and economy in the postwar years. In this paper, the writer aims, with an analysis of the background and the initial intention for its establishment, to investigate the great difficulties and compromise in the situation when the system was established as well as the deviation from its original blueprint and the causes for that, so as to produce more reliable clues to the reality in history. |
