高等教育大众化视角下的应用型本科教育的理论基础

应用型本科教育是我国在推进高等教育大众化发展中提出的一种新的高等教育办学类型,已成为我国高等教育系统中的重要组成部分。但长期以来,由于缺乏理论支撑,特别是理论基础研究的不足,严重影响其作为一种类型应追求的实践探索。考察世界范围内的高等教育发展历程,应用型本科教育是高等教育大众化的必然产物,而高等教育大众化理论体系所揭示的英才多元论、知识实用化趋向、高等教育市场化和高等教育机构类型多样化等就构成了应用型本科教育发展的理论基石。

Theoretical Basis of Application-Oriented Undergraduate Education from Popularization of Higher Education Perspective

Application-oriented undergraduate education is a newly proposed education mode in the course of boosting populari zation of higher education in China, and has become an integral part of China＇ s higher education system. For a long time, nonetheless, the practical exploration of this mode has been impeded by the lack of theories, research of theoretical basis, in particular. The study of higher education development on a global scale shows that application-oriented undergraduate educa- tion is a natural result of popularization of higher education. The theoretical cornerstone of this education mode constitutes of elite pluralism, tendency of knowledge application, marketization of higher education and diversification of higher education in- stitutions.
