中国新闻史研究的一点再反思

中国之有新闻业以及新闻史离不开所谓现代性问题,在中国语境中亦即“古今中西”问题.围绕现代性及其话语迄今形成两种思路,一为从传统到现代的进化论思路,包括“走向世界”“国际接轨”“全盘西化”的自由化路径与“国家独立”“民族解放”“人民自由”的革命化路径；一为从文明体系到现代体系的文化主义思路.与之相应,似可分出不同类型的新闻史研究.文章对此进行了初步的思考与探索,藉以在广阔的文明背景下追寻中国新闻业的内在逻辑.

Further Reflection on the Studies of Chinese Journalism History

The birth of Chinese journalism and journalism history is inseparable from the so-called problem of modernity,namely the problem of "ancient and modern,Chinese and Western" in Chinese context.There are two ideas about the modernity and its discourse to date,one is the evolutionary idea from the traditional to the modern,including the liberalization path of "advancing to the world","in line with international practice" and "wholesale Westernization",and the revolutionization path of "national independence","national liberation" and People’s freedom;the other is the culturalism idea from the civilization system to the modern system.Accordingly,it seems that the studies of journalism history can be categorized into different types.This paper makes a preliminary reflection and exploration on it,in the hope of secking after the internal logic of the Chinese journalism in the broad background of civilization.
