| Abstract: | This article analyses the outstanding characteristics of social usage of language in Guangdong, such as using foreign words and dialect, pursuing of riches, honor and good omens, choice of collocations which give people a novel and strong sensation, and explains the influence of social cultural factors. It is hoped that the analysis could promote understanding of tendencies of social usage of language in Guangdong. |
