The Current Orientation of Interest Rate Policy in China

There is a new option for the policy of current interest rate in China. The paper provides a new approach to systematic construction of interest rate in China, the determination of current interest rate, and the effects of the 8th reduction of interest rate. It points out that the year 2002 is a key year for China to launch marketization of interest rate, contain the bouncing back of deflation, and promote economic increase thus we should take good control of comprehensive effects of any policy so as to prevent the danger in losing the important turning of Chinese economy and realize the transformation of Chinese economy from a promising opportunity to a complete switch.
