现代技术伦理的“知行合一”问题

“知行合一”是中国传统伦理中行之有效的规范,在传统技术发展中有重要影响。现代技术活动同样应强调“知行合一”,但贯彻这一规范有许多困难。单靠个人的“知行合一”并不能解决群体或组织的“知行合一”问题。过于狭隘的专业教育可能使某些关键岗位的技术人员缺乏伦理责任意识,企业家的道德自律时常在利益冲击下难以坚持到底。为此,必须建立适应现代市场经济规律的完善的道德制约体系,逐步建立伦理监督的社会保障系统,在理工科教育中加强技术伦理教育,培育技术人员的技术良知,形成良好的舆论监督氛围。

How the Conduct Standard "Knowledge and Action Are One" Affects Ethics of Modern Technology

"Knowledge and action are one",as a traditionally ethically standard of conduct that was accepted by Chinese people for long,still has a great effect on the development of the traditional technology.Although the ethical standard should be stressed as well in modern technical activities,it is difficult to carry through.The problem is that a group or organization cannot carry through the ethical standard as easy as that only an individual to do that.Some professionals in charge of key projects now lack the sense of ethical responsibility because they were just educated with very narrow field of their majors,and some entrepreneurs cannot carry through their moral self-discipline under the temptation of profits.So,an appropriate system of moral restriction and social security system of ethical supervision should be developed step by step to adapt to what required by the developing market economy.As to the higher education of science and technology,it is important to stress the technical ethics so as to make sci-tech personnel conscious of their professional morality and form a supervisory atmosphere via public opinion.
