| 摘 要： | 衔接机制是言语分析理论中一个重要组成部分。本文旨在运用系统功能语法理论,通过分析《红字》中丁梅丝代尔言语中的衔接机制并结合语场,语式,语旨理论以及主位推进模式理论来探究人物的心理历程。《红字》是美国浪漫主义小说的杰作,研究男主人公———丁梅丝代尔的心理活动能够更深刻地体会这部小说。

| Abstract: | Cohesion theory is an important constituent of the theory of discourse analysis.This paper aims at probing Dimmesdale's mental movement in The Scarlet Letter by analyzing the cohesion system and the theory of field,mode,tenor and themetic progression in his speech.The Scarlet Letter is a masterpiece of American Romanticism and the better comprehension of the hero- Dimmesdale's mentality can deepen the understanding towards the novel. |
